Hebrew For Theologians : A Textbook For The Study Of Biblical Hebrew In Relation To Hebrew Thinking
This book is unique in its methodology inductive and deductive in its perspective. The Indise pain consists of an introduction of the general principles of Hebrew signs (letters, masoretic accents, etc.). morphology, syntax, style and vocabulary. The Deductive part consists of the word-by- word study of three texts (Genesis 22:1-19. Psalm 23. Micah 4.1-4)
Without ignoring the philological reality, the author pre sents the characteristic features of Hebrew language by refer ence to the dynamics of Hebrew thinking. The last section is devoted to an essay on the system of Hebrew thought the way it functions, concepts of the world, time, men and God.
